Grab a flashlight and arrive at the zoo’s gates from 6:15-6:30 to start a tour that will let visitors experience the nocturnal instincts and behaviors of the zoo’s wildlife. Many of the animals at the zoo are more active at night including the resident mountain lions, foxes, skunks, beavers, bobcats, owls and wolves. 2. Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest, September 13-October 25
Every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of October, the German tradition of Oktoberfest is celebrated at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center. This year marks the 44th Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest that is rated #1 in Southern California. The festival features bands, live entertainment, log sawing competitions, stein carrying competitions, a dance floor, traditional food and drink and so much more. 3. Halloween in the Village, October 31, The Village in Big Bear Lake
Big Bear Lake is an exceptional place to take a family vacation, especially around Halloween shares GetAways Resort Management. On Friday, October 31, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., guests and residents alike are encouraged to bring their little ones to the Village in Big Bear Lake.
