GetSafe Home Security Announces 2017 Private Scholarship Program
Concord, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2017 -- GetSafe Home Security (https://getsafe.com), a leading provider of mobile-friendly home security and home automation products, has just announced a new 2017 private scholarship program. The company will be awarding two private scholarships to students based on an essay contest.
“We believe in giving back to our community,” says Alan Wu, marketing manager for GetSafe Home Security. "One way to do that is through scholarship awards to students whose lives have been touched by crime.”
The company will award scholarships of $2,000 and $1,000 value to the two students who submit the best essay. The 500 – 1,000 word essays must explain how a burglary or other crime affected the student or someone close to them, and how this event affects their future plans. Students should describe how they overcame the experience, and how they turned the negative event into a positive, transforming event.
Essays must be submitted via email by June 30, 2017. Scholarship winners will be announced on the company’s Facebook page by July 31, 2017.
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in an undergraduate program for the 2017-2018 school year.
