All-Star Insurance Initiates Community Involvement Program in Northeast TX and Launches Campaign with Five Community Causes
Gilmer, TX (PRWEB) May 04, 2016 -- All-Star Insurance of Northeast TX has announced the commencement of a master charity program created to assist the people of their local community. The agency pledges to select a new beneficiary every 60 days, working closely with nonprofit organizations and community leaders. Their hope is to bring awareness to important local causes with fundraising and other support, by forming campaigns which aid worthwhile local programs, families or individuals.
To debut their new community enrichment program, Joe Dodd, the agency’s principal, has chosen to introduce a different local cause for each of their five area locations. The Friends of the Upshur County Library fosters a love of reading and learning through the summer months with programs and activities for children, tweens/teens and adults, which are offered at no cost. The Mineola Civic Center is raising funds for a large Splash Park slated to open this summer, which will include restrooms, a concession stand and a shaded pavilion area for family and community events.
Walnut Creek Baptist Church’s BackPack Program helps children in need to receive balanced, nutritious meals through backpacks containing enough food for six healthy meals and one family meal over the weekend, when schools are unable to provide meals. CASA provides valuable volunteer advocacy for the area’s abused children, serving as the eyes and ears for the judge in child welfare cases. And finally, the Quitman Youth Foundation organizes and operates the area’s youth baseball, basketball and softball leagues, maintaining the fields and equipment so that kids have the opportunity to develop physical and social skills, as well as learning fair play and self-esteem.
“We truly hope to pull together support for those who need it most with our new community involvement program,” said Dodd. “We’re honored to begin by fundraising for these five imminently worthy local groups, all of which do so much for the people of our communities. We hope others will share our passion to help, and join in and support these campaigns.”
The donations page for each featured initiative will be accompanied by a fully detailed story outlining the cause.
