City Girl Beauty Project Announces Its 2014 Charity Benefit Host: Miss City of New York Kira Kazantsev
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 13, 2014 -- City Girl Beauty Project; a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to empower young women who are survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking; has just announced that Miss New York City Kira Kazantsev, will host their 3rd annual Giving is Glamorous beauty and charity benefit. Since its inception 3 years ago, the organization has had several entertainment personality hosts including: entertainment journalist Tanika Ray and reporter Cathleen Trigg-Jones of FOX 5 NY. This year, the organization has decided to select a host who is the epitome of what the organization stands for; hence the reason for selecting Ms. Kira Kazantsev.
“We made a conscious decision to choose a young lady, who embodies the beauty, essence and character of City Girl Beauty Project,” says CEO Andrea D. Charles. Speaking of character, Ms. Kira Kazantsev is a proud supporter of the Miss America Organization, a survivor of domestic violence, and an activist for women’s rights with several New York City domestic violence organizations. As a result of her own personal experience, Kira is currently the driving force behind the empowering campaign, “Love Shouldn’t Hurt.”
Whether survivor or not, those who want to support the cause and/or participate, are encouraged to join Ms. Kira Kazantsev and the organization, along with their supporters and friends; as they put forth the effort to raise funds to produce the organization’s core program; the Heroic Beauty Workshop. Event attendees can expect to have everything a girl wants; signature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, fabulous swag bags, mini makeovers, a female centric silent and live auction, a special musical performance by International violinist Donnell Best; and the opportunity to meet and connect with some of New York City’s most inspiring young women. The charity benefit will commence on Thursday, June 12th, 2014 at 6:30pm – 10:00pm; at Top of the Garden Event Space located at 251 West 30th Street, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
