The ribbon cutting, courtesy of Main Street Middletown, will commence on Wednesday, April 29th at 6pm, with an in-store celebration to follow, until 8pm. Gladhill's staff of design professionals is committed to extending another 100 years of success and value to the community in and around Frederick and Montgomery counties in Maryland.

History:
Gladhill's is a story of a century of design and style, in a store ahead of its time. Woodrow Wilson was President when Calvin T. K. and Lola Gladhill began selling furniture, cook stoves, aluminum ware, jewelry, buggies, wagons and carriages in nearby Myersville, MD. In 1915, Gladhill Furniture moved to their present location at 10 Walnut Street in Middletown, MD, into the Schlosser Tannery building, which was razed when the present structure was built in 1929.
During the 1920s, the Gladhill family employed local cabinet makers to fashion custom-designed furniture in solid walnut and cherry woods. These pieces are still found in some of the finest homes in Frederick County and beyond.
