Great Lakes Christian College Announces Business Management Nonprofit Major for Students Who Want to Make a Difference
Lansing, MI (PRWEB) June 05, 2014 -- Great Lakes Christian College offers a major in Business Management – Nonprofit. Students participating in this program will learn to effectively communicate the Kingdom principle of stewardship and how it relates to non-profit organizations.
Students will utilize statistics, research methodology, and strategies to evaluate existing research and conduct research to facilitate reliable decision-making. They will also apply strategic planning, finance, resource development, resources, deployment, and accountability reporting to the non-profit organization.
Students will participate in an internship experience as a part of the program, which will be coordinated with the GLCC faculty and focused on the student’s particular area of career interest.
Participants will be prepared for entry-level management positions in large nonprofit organizations as well as leadership positions in smaller organizations. The degree will also prepare the graduate to envision, start up, and manage a nonprofit entity.
