GL's enhanced VQuad™ and stand-alone Voice Quality Testing (VQT) software, both support the next-generation voice quality testing standard for fixed, mobile and IP-based networks using POLQA (ITU-T P.863).

Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA -August 21 2013- GL Communications Inc. a leader in providing PC-based test, analysis and simulation products and consulting services to the worldwide telecommunications industry, announced today its enhanced Next Generation Voice Quality Testing Standards for fixed, mobile and IP networks.

Speaking to media persons, Mr. Robert Bichefsky Senior Manager for Product Development of the company said, ” GL's enhanced VQuad™ and stand-alone Voice Quality Testing (VQT) software, both support the next-generation voice quality testing standard for fixed, mobile and IP-based networks using POLQA (ITU-T P.863).

The VQT supports other international standard voice quality test methods including PESQ (ITU-T P.862), PESQ LQ / LQO (P.862.1), PESQ WB (P.862.2), PAMS (ITU-T P.800), and PSQM/PSQM+ (ITU-T P.861). With additional licenses, VQuad™ for the first time can perform Voice Quality testing using POLQA.”

He added, “Using the GL VQuad™ application along with the Dual UTA, T1 E1 Probe, or SIP User Agent option, practically any end-point interfaces can be tested for audio quality. The VQuad™ solution tests and analyzes the customer experience for audio quality and path confirmation. Along with voice quality, VQuad™ can also generate and receive a variety of traffic including Voice, DTMF/MF digits, Single/Dual Frequency Tones, and Fax up to V.34.”

Mr. Bichefsky further added, “GL VQT software works in conjunction with the VQuad™ for automatically and remotely analyzing the voice files while sending the results to a central database. As part of the POLQA analysis results include POLQA MOS, E-Model, Signal Level, Noise Level, and Jitter. The results can be queried and displayed either in tabular or graphical format using the GL VQT WebViewer™ (web browser).”

·POLQA voice analysis algorithm can be applied for HD-quality speech coding and higher bandwidth audio signals.
