Extensive, Professionally Produced B-Roll of Glenwood Springs is Now Available for Broadcast Media to Download
Glenwood Springs, CO (PRWEB) December 18, 2013 -- As a favorite Colorado visitor destination, Glenwood Springs has found itself at the center of many feature stories, including those on the Travel Channel and “Good Morning America” and on Colorado-based news stations. International broadcast media have also focused their attention on the town’s many activities and attractions; most recently, BS Nippon, a Japanese broadcast station, produced a story about Glenwood Hot Springs and another Japanese film crew shot an episode of a popular game show that featured the Giant Canyon Swing at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Now, with a comprehensive collection of b-roll footage, broadcast journalists can easily bring their stories to life with spectacular imagery of a variety of Glenwood Springs subjects.
“Our high-definition b-roll provides media professionals with increased flexibility in editing and enables them to enrich the visual content of their stories with relevant images, without having to shoot it all themselves,” said Lisa Langer, vice president of tourism marketing.
The City of Glenwood Springs partnered with two Colorado firms, Altitude Filmworks, based in Carbondale and 82 Productions located in Aspen, to produce over 50 videos, including aerial shots of the Colorado River through Glenwood Canyon, Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. Other video clips include Hanging Lake, panoramic shots of Glenwood Springs, cycling along the Rio Grande Trail and in Glenwood Canyon, rafting, fly fishing, playing golf, paragliding, 4-wheeling, Doc Holliday’s memorial and the annual ghost walk, Strawberry Days, the Amtrak Station in summer and winter, skiing at Sunlight Mountain Resort and hotel, dining and shopping options in Glenwood Springs.
To create the extensive library of videos, the City of Glenwood Springs worked with Altitude Filmworks and 82 Productions for over a year to capture the essence of Glenwood Springs season by season, from its festivals and outdoor activities to its host of attractions and stunning landscapes. Jon Fredericks and Louis Wilsher of Altitude Filmworks shot the aerial views, including those cruising over the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, using an advanced technology remote-controlled helicopter. The expansive views, like those in Glenwood Canyon, vistas of the town of Glenwood Springs and the aerial shots of the golf course, were taken from a full-sized helicopter. From 82 Productions, Co-owner Spencer McNight and Director of Production Joel Lee were responsible for the non-aerial footage and also produced the 30-second ads in the collection.
Glenwood Springs b-roll is available in three downloadable formats as HD.MP4, SD.MP4 and original .M2T files. Clips range in length from 30 seconds to several minutes.
