GlobaFone‘s GSA Contract to Be Extended for Five More Years
Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) November 05, 2014 -- GlobaFone, the leading client-focused satellite service solutions provider has announced that the GSA (General Services Administration) has chosen the option to extend their Schedule 70 contract number GS-35F-0074W for an additional five year term. The GSA is the US federal government's negotiator and contract administrator. This brings the expiration period to November 2019. GlobaFone has held GSA contracts in the past with the current contract having been approved in November of 2009.
"This contract extension allows us to continue to provide our world-class service to our federal government clients, and add new clients,” said GlobaFone CEO Lou Altman. “We have dozens of federal clients that are doing important work across critical segments, especially in the military, public safety and law enforcement. We are proud and honored to serve them.”
GlobaFone lists Iridium hardware and services, and Inmarsat’s BGAN (Broadband Global Area Network) service on their GSA contract vehicle. With the contract extension completed, GlobaFone will be adding new products and services from different networks that serve different client segments, some with very specialized products.
“The fundamental mission we have at GlobaFone is to help heroes save lives,” Altman stated emphatically. “The more tools we can bring to our client base to make this happen, the better service we provide to them.”
