GlobaFone Introduces Long and Short Term Satellite Phone Lease Plans
Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) March 10, 2014 -- GlobaFone, a leading multi-carrier satellite service provider has announced the introduction of short and long term lease plans, offering more affordability for a wide variety of budgets. The lease includes an Iridium 9555 or 9575 satellite phone complete kit, basic satellite service, delivered in a padded nylon case, with the battery charged the phone tested and numbered and 24 hour support.
"We’ve heard from dozens of clients that are looking for a lower cost solution or one with no Cap-Ex (capital expenditure)”, said GlobaFone CEO Lou Altman. “Our new lease plans provide flexibility and lower pricing, creating a wider appeal for budget conscious companies and government agencies.”
GlobaFone first introduced these types of lease kits specifically for hurricane season, the annual period from June 1 to November 30. This is the most active time for hurricanes to threaten the US and a popular time for satellite phone use. “We started our hurricanes kits years ago and decided, after client feedback to make them a year-round offering,” said Altman. “This allows many more clients to better prepare for disaster, or just have satellite phones as an expense rather than the accounting that accompanies buying, owning and depreciating equipment.”
The kits typically can be delivered with a few days, overnight, in cases of emergencies. After Hurricane Ike, GlobaFone delivered 250 phones to a client in less than 48 hours.
