Gloria G. Blakeney launches new press campaign for 2011 book
CALHOUN, La. (PRWEB) January 07, 2015 -- With her 2011 poetic anthology “Poems Short Stories and Things Remembered” (published by AuthorHouse) author Gloria B. Blakeney shared with readers her encounters with angels in verse form.
This year, Blakeney hopes to reach a wider audience for her book by launching a new press campaign.
“Poems Short Stories and Things Remembered” shares Blakeney’s poetry about angelic encounters, short stories inspired by books of the Bible and memories from her family life in one compilation.
“My book has something for almost everyone,” Blakeney says. “There are poems about angels, animals, and more. There are true stories based on books of the Bible and real-life happenings, and stories to encourage and make you smile. There is also a section of old sayings that will make one remember, smile or scratch their head.”
Blakeney hopes readers will walk away from her book knowing they are all God’s children, regardless of color or creed. She also hopes her readers enjoy her book and come away with a smile and feel better about themselves.

Gloria G. Blakeney was born in Georgia. She grew up on a farm, but her family moved just before her 14th birthday. She grew up with a love for animals. She met and married her husband while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. They now have three sons, 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. “Poems Short Stories and Things Remembered” is her first book to be published.
