Golden Meadows Retrievers Specialty Dogs Recently Earned Canine Good Citizenship Certifications
Central Ventura County, CA (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- The renowned breeders at Golden Meadows Retrievers have a well-deserved reputation for breeding beautiful Golden Retriever and Vizsla dogs, however, now making the announcement that they’re dogs have recently earned Canine Good Citizenship Certifications, the prized kennel has proudly proven that their dogs are more than just good looks.
Presented by the American Kennel Club, The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program is a two-part program that is designed to reward dogs that have good manners at home and in the community. By stressing responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs, all dogs that pass this 10-step CGC test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club and an honorary hanker chief.
“Having our pups receive the Canine Good Citizenship certificate is such an honor,” says Barbie Hoke, one of the founders and owners of Golden Meadows Kennels. “We get many compliments from the CGC trainers about how well behaved our pups are … this is the first step to some of our pups becoming service dogs and knowing they are out there, helping others, makes us proud.”
In the end, The Canine Good Citizen Program instills healthy life habits for all puppies such as obedience, agility, tracking and performance events and the staff at Golden Meadows retrievers is honored to now boast certifiably trained golden retrievers and Vizslas that will certainly make their future owners very happy.
