2013 Golden Spike Awards to Give Young Professional Communicator of the Year Award to Lita Madlang
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) November 04, 2013 -- In anticipation of the Nov. 14, 2013 Golden Spike Awards, the Golden Spike Awards Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the recipient of this year’s Young Professional Communicator of the Year award. The award goes to Lita Madlang who provides internal and external strategic communications support at Rio Tinto Kennecott, home to one of the world’s largest open-pit copper mines.
The Young Professional Communicator of the Year Award is given annually to a Utah Public Relations Society of America member who has worked full-time for less than five years and demonstrated noteworthy public relations knowledge, skill and ability. Members of PRSA nominate and vote on the award recipient each year. The award recognizes those who have excelled professionally even as a relative newcomer to the field of public relations.
“Lita Madlang exhibits a strong work ethic and is a rising star within her profession. Her display of crisis communication management during a public and critical time at Rio Tinto Kennecott was exemplary and valuable to her organization,” said Susan Bellomy, co-chair of the 2013 Golden Spike Awards.
The 2013 Young Professional Communicator of the Year will be awarded during the 26th annual Golden Spike Awards on Nov. 14, 2013 in Rio Tinto Stadium’s Budweiser Club Real Room. Lita Madlang’s colleagues and friends are invited to join members of the Utah public relations and corporate communications community at the Golden Spike Awards dinner and ceremony to celebrate and recognize Lita for this honor. Tickets are $55 each and available here.
