Chris Humphrey Insurance Agency Introduces Charity Drive to Raise Funds for Young Girl with Rare Kidney and Stomach Diseases
Goldsboro, NC (PRWEB) May 11, 2016 -- Chris Humphrey Insurance Agency unveils another remarkable charity campaign in their effort to support local families with a community enrichment program serving Goldsboro, Kinston and areas southeast of Raleigh. The latest initiative supports Alayna Martin, a 7 year old girl who battles a rare form of kidney disease, as well as a very rare stomach disease. Alayna Martin was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome one year ago, causing her to be hospitalized six times. The syndrome has now caused eosinophilic colitis, which is a very rare, little understood, painful gastrointestinal disease. Alayna’s mother, Sara, is a single mother of three beautiful daughters who has always worked two jobs to provide for her girls. She has had to miss a lot of work over the last year to care for Alayna, and her insurance is only paying for a small percentage of the medical expenses. With Alayna facing another procedure to help with her constant pain, Sara is reaching out for help.
