Neighbors helping neighbors is what it’s all about, and we need to unite as a community to keep this family afloat so that Sara can concentrate on what’s most important right now – helping Alayna to regain her health and her childhood.

Chris Humphrey Insurance Agency unveils another remarkable charity campaign in their effort to support local families with a community enrichment program serving Goldsboro, Kinston and areas southeast of Raleigh. The latest initiative supports Alayna Martin, a 7 year old girl who battles a rare form of kidney disease, as well as a very rare stomach disease. Donations to the family’s medical expenses are being gratefully accepted at: https://www.gofundme.com/2kzb89kk.

Alayna Martin was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome one year ago, causing her to be hospitalized six times. The syndrome has now caused eosinophilic colitis, which is a very rare, little understood, painful gastrointestinal disease. Alayna’s mother, Sara, is a single mother of three beautiful daughters who has always worked two jobs to provide for her girls. She has had to miss a lot of work over the last year to care for Alayna, and her insurance is only paying for a small percentage of the medical expenses. With Alayna facing another procedure to help with her constant pain, Sara is reaching out for help.

Chris Humphrey, owner of Chris Humphrey Insurance Agency, attested, “We couldn’t be prouder to support Sara and her beautiful family through this most difficult time. Neighbors helping neighbors is what it’s all about, and we need to unite as a community to keep this family afloat so that Sara can concentrate on what’s most important right now – helping Alayna to regain her health and her childhood.”

The dedicated team at Chris Humphrey Insurance has created an online social media network and email awareness campaign to promote the initiative, as well as having featured it in their monthly magazine. Our Hometown is a print and digital publication which is delivered to thousands of households in Goldsboro, Kinston and surrounding communities. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue may be viewed here: http://www.chrishumphreyinsurance.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_44.

To make it even easier for everyone help Sara and Alayna, the agency itself has pledged to donate $10 for each and every recommendation they receive for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary. Readers who would like view the campaign, recommend a friend and/or make a personal donation may do so here.
