Mission Golf Cars Celebrates 60th Anniversary of E-Z-GO
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Mission Golf Cars is proud to announce that on Friday, June 13, 2014, E-Z-GO will turn 60 years old. As one of the largest E-Z-GO dealers, Mission Golf Cars congratulates E-Z-GO on their achievement. Hitting a 60-year anniversary is a milestone that few companies reach and an achievement that E-Z-GO would not have accomplished without the support of their employees, valued channel partners and great customers.
Today, E-Z-GO manufactures more than 50 different vehicle models across the E-Z-GO, Cushman® and Bad Boy Buggies® brands, for industries and environments ranging from golf courses and resorts, to factories and commercial campuses, to neighborhood paths and off-road trails.
E-Z-GO was founded by brothers and Army veterans Bev and Billy Dolan on June 13, 1954, in a one-room machine shop in Grovetown, Ga., near Augusta. The first E-Z-GO golf cars, dubbed the Model 100, were built using surplus 24-volt electric motors originally intended to power wingflaps on the B-17 Flying Fortress. From those humble beginnings, E-Z-GO has grown into a global leader in the design and manufacture of light-transportation vehicles.
