Goodhue County, Minn., Begins E-recording with Simplifile
GOODHUE COUNTY, Minn. (PRWEB) July 15, 2014 -- Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service provider, is now available in Goodhue County, Minn., enabling both local and national recording customers to submit land documents for recording via the Internet.
With e-recording available, customers such as title companies, banks, lien filers, and attorneys will be able to scan, upload, and submit documents electronically to Goodhue County for recording from their office computer.
Instead of having to drive to the county courthouse or submit documents by mail, e-recording offers a much faster and more convenient option, enabling the county to review, stamp, and record the documents in minutes through Simplifile’s web-based service.
“It’s more cost-effective for the county and their customers, too,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “Savings on paper, mail, postage, envelopes and check-writing expenses are some of the biggest reasons customers make the switch to e-recording.”
Another major benefit of e-recording is increased document security, as users are able to track and receive detailed reporting and notifications on the status of their documents and payments.
Goodhue is the 65th Minnesota county to begin e-recording with Simplifile, joining more than 1,100 e-recording counties nationwide.
To begin using Simplifile’s e-recording service in Goodhue County, users need high-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner.
