SaltStack to Demonstrate Automation for Web-scale Infrastructure Operations at Google Cloud Platform Live
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 03, 2014 -- SaltStack, the creators of automation software for Web-scale infrastructure operations, today announced SaltStack will play in the Sandbox at Google Cloud Platform Live on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Google Cloud Platform Live is a one-day event highlighting next-generation cloud technology from Google, SaltStack and other leading vendors to help developers build better, more scalable applications, and deploy them to production infrastructure faster.
SaltStack representatives will be available at Google Cloud Platform Live to demonstrate fast and flexible SaltStack systems management software for cloud orchestration, infrastructure automation and server configuration management. SaltStack software was designed from the beginning to automate the management of Web-scale environments, large data centers and enterprise IT operations similar to the Google Compute Engine cloud infrastructure.
SaltStack dynamically provisions Google Compute Engine resources and then deploys and manages the applications and code running on the infrastructure. SaltStack is also used to control any public or private cloud infrastructure, providing autonomics that intelligently react to machine or human-generated events to keep mission-critical applications and systems available and secure.
SaltStack also works with the Google Cloud Platform team by contributing code to the Kubernetes project. SaltStack code is used for bootstrapping Google Compute Engine virtual machines and installing and configuring clusters.
Google Cloud Platform Live will be held on Nov. 4 from 9am - 5:20pm at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco. The event is sold out but content will be available to view via live video stream.
SaltConf15
SaltConf, the annual SaltStack user conference, is coming back to Salt Lake City from March 3-5, 2015. SaltConf will be bigger and better than ever. The SaltConf15 call for speakers is open now through Nov. 21. Registration is also open and early-bird and group discounts are still available.
