OKC, OK (PRWEB) October 09, 2014
Starting October 8th OU’s own NROTC is running the AT&T Red River Showdown game ball from Norman all the way to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The most exciting feature this year is that US Fleet Tracking is following the ball with a live GPS Tracker! Now fans from all over can follow the progress of the AT&T Red River Showdown game ball's journey towards Dallas.
Each year, members of the University of Oklahoma Navy Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NROTC) run the AT&T Red River Showdown game ball from Norman to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. This year, thanks to US Fleet Tracking, fans can track the Midshipmen's progress with the ball using a Live GPS Tracking.
The purpose of the NROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Marine Corps and in the Navy as unrestricted line officers. As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the NROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.
