On Dec 4 at 6 p.m., online marketing experts from GoDaddy, Microsoft Bing, Big 3 and Green Lotus will share their knowledge at the Donate & Learn Expo with an expected 500 entrepreneurs, business owners and online marketing specialists in attendance to learn cutting-edge search engine and social media marketing strategies for businesses.

The Donate & Learn concept is simple and pure brilliance! We have all paid a fee to attend marketing workshops and seminars in the past, but the idea of a workshop, free with a donation supporting such a great cause, is inspiring! - John Shehata, ABC News

Don’t miss speakers from GoDaddy, Microsoft Bing, Big 3 and Green Lotus at the Donate & Learn Online Marketing Expo. 100% of donations will go to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto Go Girls! and Game On! group mentoring programs for youths.

Running off the success of past events the Donate & Learn Initiative is back with a bigger, better, longer Online Marketing Conference. The Donate & Learn Online Marketing Expo Speaker Panel includes leading industry experts, each with their own reason for supporting the Donate & Learn initiative:

“The Donate and Learn Online Marketing Expo is a great initiative put on to help businesses grasp the ever growing complexity of online marketing. At Microsoft we have worked together to build a culture of giving that is truly part of Microsoft’s DNA and when there was an opportunity to help, that aligned strongly with our culture we had to jump at the chance,” says Andrew Yang, Microsoft Canada Search Evangelist.

From the very first Donate and Learn event Big 3 has been hands on. Since founding their company, Big 3 has vowed to embrace important community efforts, under the ideal that growing means growing together. “We love the Donate & Learn idea because of the positivity it brings to both the attendees and the benefiting charity, especially Big Brothers and Big Sisters. It's a win-win situation for all involved - presenters get to meet new interesting people, attendees leave with new ideas and strategies, and everyone gets to make a difference.”

Bassem Ghali, the founder of the Donate & Learn initiative and Head of Client Strategy at Green Lotus has spearheaded the Donate & Learn initiative, and says, “I am truly amazed by the support received from attendees, speakers, sponsors and media partners, and the fact that every Donate & Learn event has been sold-out. The Donate & Learn initiative doesn’t just support a great cause, and provide learning opportunities with world-class speakers, but it also restores your faith in humanity and what can happen when we each do our little part!”

The Donate & Learn Initiative was created by Green Lotus to support local Toronto charities, and provide informative workshops for small and medium businesses with a focus on social media, online marketing strategies and the tools needed to achieve online marketing goals.

Donate & Learn events are extremely popular for the quality of its speakers, Green Lotus is honoured for the support of industry experts and past keynote speakers:

  •     John Shehata Executive Director of Search & Social Media at ABC News
  •     Stephanie Abouatallah Director, Social Media at Canadian Tire
  •     Richard Marginson Manager, Social Media & Marketing at Xplornet
  •     Sally Chung Account Marketing at Google Canada

The Donate & Learn concept is simple – instead of paying a conference fee participants make a tax-deductible donation to the partnering charity of the Donate & Learn event. Donate & Learn Events have so far raised $8,350 for the YWCA Toronto, and the goal is to raise $10,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Toronto.
