By continuing to leverage Get Real Health’s award-winning connected health toolbox, InstantPHR, UHS is extending its functionality to allow patients to access their own medical information and become active participants in their healthcare.
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) January 21, 2014
University Hospital Southampton (UHS) NHS Foundation Trust in the UK is about to rollout its “My Health Record” portal — which is based on Get Real Health’s InstantPHR™ patient engagement platform — to a wider outpatient population, as well as add support for extra care pathways. The move follows UHS’s successful initial pilot of its portal with the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) pathway.
For this expanded rollout of the portal, Get Real Health will provide UHS’s “My Health Record” with a website design refresh, a mobile patient portal activated and configured in the existing InstantPHR, and an upgrade to InstantPHR 3.1. The provider and administrator portals will both be integrated within the Active Directory system used by UHS. Through a web and mobile web-based interface, InstantPHR will collaboratively enable UHS to improve patient outcomes and enhance health.
“By continuing to leverage Get Real Health’s award-winning connected health toolbox, InstantPHR, UHS is extending its functionality to allow patients to access their own medical information and become active participants in their healthcare,” said Robin Wiener, Get Real Health president and founding partner.
Every year, UHS’s 9,500 staff treat approximately 140,000 inpatients and day patients, including about 50,000 emergency admission and approximately 460,000 people at outpatient appointments.
