Dr. Grisel Gomez-Cano is the Associate Dean of Instructional Support at the Houston Community College’s Southeast College. She has taught writing, humanities and anthropology for over 20 years. She is the author of five books on Mexican and Venezuelan mythology. Her works include “The Return of Coatlicue,” “El Regreso a Coatlicue,” “Sacbe: El Camino entre La Visión y el Arte,” “The Spirit of Magnolia Park: Ethnic Pride in a Mexican Barrio” and “Maria Lionza y Juan José: Sortilegio de Amor.” She is also the founder of the Mexican-American/Latino Studies Program and Digital History archives.
