GROM Audio Will Host A Meet Up Event Featuring GM China Director of the “Opencarlab" Automotive Open Source Tech Community in China
Belmont, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- GROM Audio is proud to host a Meet Up event for the Silicon Valley Automotive Open Source Meet Up group; Tuesday, July 1, from 6:30-9PM. As the second event hosted at GROM Audio's headquarters, located in Belmont, GROM is proud to continue to support the growing automotive industry in Northern California. Like the previous Meet Up event, which had over 50 attendees, this event is open to anyone interested in learning more about developments in the vastly growing automotive market of China.
John Du, Director of the China Science Lab of GM China, will be in attendance to discuss the constantly changing open source tech community in China. With plans to share how smartphones and applications are changing the Chinese driving experience, Du hopes to lead an open dialogue of sharing knowledge. Taking insights from some of Silicon Valley's most avid car enthusiasts and industry colleagues, this Meet Up event intends to further the discussion of the future of cars. Du formerly worked for Intel in both the US and in China, before moving on to his position of GM China in 2009.

GROM Audio will showcase its current after-market car kits as well as its newest open source infotainment system.
