Greenberg Traurig’s Shareholder Danielle N. Garno Appointed to the Crayon Collection Board of Directors
Miami, FL (PRWEB) April 13, 2017 -- Danielle N. Garno, a shareholder in the Miami Litigation Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was appointed to the Crayon Collection Board of Directors.
The Crayon Collection’s mission is to inspire a commitment to environmental consciousness and the infusion of art education in underfunded schools. The organization collects gently used crayons from restaurants and hotels that distribute free crayons to children when they dine. The Crayon Collection’s programming ensures millions of crayons are saved from landfills each year and are instead repurposed for teachers and students, providing resources to support art education.
“I am excited to serve as a board member of the Crayon Collection as it allows me to make an impact on both the organization’s recycling efforts and to support arts and education programs in elementary schools. As a mother of four young girls, I recognize that this is extremely important to a child’s development,” said Garno. “I look forward to working with other board members to increase awareness of the Crayon Collection and help cultivate expression and creativity in young minds.”
Garno is a shareholder in the Miami Litigation Practice of the firm, where she focuses on specific issues faced by the fashion community. She began her career in fashion law in Greenberg Traurig’s office in 2006, handling cases relating to anti-counterfeiting, trademark infringement, and intellectual property issues.
She is also actively involved with professional and community organizations. She is chair-elect of the Beacon Council’s Creative Design Committee and currently sits on the board of Fashion Group International of South Florida. She also is counsel to Style Saves, a nonprofit that raises funds through fashion-focused events providing underprivileged students the necessities for back-to-school.
