Specialty pharmaceuticals distributor Gulf Coast Pharmaceuticals Plus became the authorized distribution partner for Healgen Scientific's Rapid COVID-19 IgG/IgM (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) Rapid Test Device. OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss., Aug. 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Gulf Coast Pharmaceuticals Plus (GCPP) announced today its partnership with Healgen Scientific LLC to become the authorized distributor of its Rapid COVID-19 Test Device in the United States. The COVID-19 IgG/IgM (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) Rapid Test Cassette by Healgen Scientific is one of the few FDA EUA authorized rapid test devices currently available.
This test is intended to screen patients for COVID-19 by using lateral flow technology for the qualitative, differential detection of both anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM and IgG antibodies. In general, antibodies can be detected 1-3 weeks after infection. The COVID-19 IgG/IgM (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) Rapid Test Device does not require any instrumentation and can produce results in just 15 minutes.
