The training provided by Joe is just one of the many ways we continually strive to improve the lives of those seeking recovery from substance abuse and also to enrich our own lives as professionals.

This past weekend, Gulf Breeze Recovery strengthened its quest to provide quality care for guests seeking help for substance abuse by having a three-day training session. The continuing education wasn't just for clinical staff, but also administrative and support staff, as the facility recognizes that all personnel play an integral role in helping people recover their health.
The training was led by internationally renowned author, teacher, speaker and consultant, Joe Bailey. Bailey is the author of several books, currently teaches classes on alcohol and drug abuse counseling as well as worked with the esteemed Mayo Clinic, recently, alongside other notable instiutions. Some of Joe's books include titles such as "The Serenity Principle" and "Fearproof Your Life." His most popular book was "Slowing Down to the Speed of Life", which was co-written with New York Times best-selling author Richard Carlson. Carlson was also the author of the hugely popular book "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff."
According to Joe's bio, his life purpose is to help people find true happiness and peace of mind. He studied psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, eventually becoming a licensed psychologist. His desire to understand the connection between the psychological, physical and spiritual facets of people led him to a deeper understanding of the whole person and away from the current fragmented view. His search led to a health-based approach to counseling, prevention programs, workplace wellness and the attainment of a personal life of peace, joy and fulfillment for all people.
"We have a very real commitment to the people we serve," says Gulf Breeze Recovery co-founder Barnett Gilmer. "The training provided by Joe is just one of the many ways we continually strive to improve the lives of those seeking recovery from substance abuse and also to enrich our own lives as professionals."
