Integrated digital imaging is increasingly important for eye diagnosis and with the addition of the exceptionally high-quality images, captured with Haag-Streit BX900, EyeSuite has been optimised to provide efficient data-handling capabilities.
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 16 January 2015
Haag-Streit UK(HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce the release of EyeSuite i8 software from Haag-Streit Diagnostics.
The new software boasts some exciting new features including; the automated import of images from the Haag-Streit BX slit lamp and other third-party devices, such as retinal cameras. It also now allows the import of DICOM stored images.
The DICOM image storage feature offers the option of exporting true image data. This will exclusively export image data from the imaging extension, allowing easier access for the user. It will also help facilitate the implementation and development of electronic patient records, enabling hospitals to deliver the UK Government recommendation of a paperless NHS by 2018.
Sam Laidlaw, HS-UK Product Manager, said, “Integrated digital imaging is increasingly important for eye diagnosis and with the addition of the exceptionally high-quality images, captured with Haag-Streit BX900, EyeSuite has been optimised to provide efficient data-handling capabilities. In conjunction with the new DICOM image storage features, EyeSuite continues to meet the fast-growing needs of our customers.”
