Firm’s “Continue to Serve” Mission Drives Support of Veteran-Owned Businesses

National Veterans Small Business Engagement

“As an Army Veteran myself, I know the value of the NVSBE to help Veteran entrepreneurs find new opportunities to leverage their capabilities and talents to help the VA and other government agencies achieve their critical missions", says Dawn Halfaker, President and CEO of Halfaker and Associates.

Halfaker and Associates, LLC announced today its participation as a Diamond Premier sponsor of the 2019 National Veterans Small Business Engagement (NVSBE), to be held in Nashville, TN on December 10–11. As one of the leading government IT solutions providers in the industry, Halfaker has committed resources at the highest level of engagement for this year’s NVSBE.

“The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is one of our key clients, and we are proud of the work we are doing together to improve the Veteran experience,” says Dawn Halfaker, President and CEO of Halfaker and Associates. “As an Army Veteran myself, I know the value of the NVSBE to help Veteran entrepreneurs find new opportunities to leverage their capabilities and talents to help the VA and other government agencies achieve their critical missions. Our support for the NVSBE is another way for us to fulfill our company mission to “Continue to Serve,” she adds. “We look forward to meeting other Veteran and small business owners in Nashville and sharing how Halfaker’s technical capabilities bring value to the VA and have meaningful impact on Veterans.”

“We are honored to have Halfaker and Associates participate at this year’s 2019 NVSBE,” says Keith Kruse, President and COO of Federal Conference, retained to assist with planning efforts for NVSBE. “Having a successful service-disabled Veteran-Owned small business and industry leader like Halfaker serve as one of the premier sponsors is an excellent illustration of potential future success for other Veteran business owners and elevates the experience for everyone attending the NVSBE.”

Serving as a signature event, the NVSBE is a great example of the VA’s commitment to enable Veteran-Owned small businesses, and firms in other disadvantaged business categories, to gain access to economic opportunity by leveraging the federal procurement system and expanding participation of procurement-ready small businesses. The NVSBE event draws nearly 2,200 attendees with more than 250 exhibitors and sponsors from Veteran-Owned and other small and large businesses, along with Procurement Decision Makers from the VA and other federal agencies in the areas of IT, Medical, and Specialty Supplies and Services industries.
