Harris School Solutions is pleased to announce that its ClassMate software for BOCES can now be solicited under the Miscellaneous Software Catalog Contract, awarded by the New York State, Office of General Services. Harris Specialized Student Solutions (SSS), a division of Harris School Solutions, is the premier provider of technology solutions for the CTE, Alternative, Special, Adult and Continuing Education markets with current customers across New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
ClassMate, the flagship product for SSS, is a student administration and curriculum management solution. Custom designed as a consolidated student management tool for New York BOCES, it provides a powerful tool to organize and analyze student performance, assessment and curriculum information. Today there are 37 Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) across New York, incorporating all but nine of the state’s 719 school districts. BOCES partner with districts to provide a broad range of services, including Career & Technical, Alternative, and Special Education, that help meet the diversified educational needs of students.
Kathy Ritch, Executive Vice President of Harris Specialized Student Solutions, is pleased with the proclamation. “The announcement by New York General Services opens the door for New York BOCES to purchase ClassMate without having to request bids from other software vendors. While this is excellent news for BOCES, we fully intend to apply for an expanded contract next year, which will incorporate all of our Harris School Solutions products not only within the Student Information, Adult and Continuing Education markets, but will also include our K-12 Financial, Nutrition, and Information student solutions. We are committed to maximizing the growth potential within the state of New York, where we are expanding our focus on delivering unique solutions designed to exceed customer expectations.”
