Harry Markopolos Selected as Keynote Speaker for 2014 Secure Cash & Transport Association Conference
Purcellville, VA (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- The Secure Cash & Transport Association (SCTA), a nonprofit group representing professionals in ATM servicing, cash handling and processing, transportation, and safekeeping of cash and coin throughout North America, announces the selection of Harry Markopolos as the keynote speaker for its second annual conference. Mr. Markopolos is recognized as the Bernie Madoff whistleblower.
The SCTA Conference takes place September 24-26, 2014 at the Hyatt Chicago, Magnificent Mile.
Harry Markopolos is an expert on fraud and a powerful voice on ethical leadership. By relying on his unique combination of skills as a 22-year veteran of the finance industry, he pieced together the facts and numbers and blew the whistle on Madoff to “deliver the biggest Ponzi scheme to the SEC ever.”
Mr. Markopolos will offer the keynote address at the 2014 SCTA conference. In his address, he will impart lessons that had to be relearned by capital markets due-diligence professionals, accountants, and regulators who were unprepared during the boom years of the Mortgage Backed Securities fiasco and Bernie Madoff.
The SCTA 2014 Conference will feature informative sessions, networking opportunities, and exhibits. A preliminary agenda includes topics related to the state of the cash-in-transit industry, CIT and banking security reports, and special sessions on outsourced vaults, Bitcoin, cash management in the new legal marijuana trade, wire fraud exposures, ATM jackpotting, organized crime hits, and more.
The conference is designed to support the Secure Cash & Transport Association’s mission to protect, strengthen, and unite the cash-in-transit and cash servicing industries.
