Michael Schlicting and the Hawk Creek Gallery are Pleased to Present the New Painting, “A Solstice Proposal”, to Celebrate the Gallery's 36th Season
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Michael Schlicting will be debuting a new painting and gicleé, “A Solstice Proposal”, to celebrate the 36th season of the Hawk Creek Gallery, Schlicting’s studio/gallery, located in Neskowin, on the beautiful Oregon coast. The acrylic painting, 42"x24", is inspired by the environment around his beautiful Oregon coastal home. Schlicting will be exhibiting as well, new work from recent travels to Italy and South America. “A Solstice Proposal” will also be available as a gicleé, sizes variable.
Michael Schlicting, recently the recipient of the Prize of Excellence at the Shenzhen Watermedia Biennial in Shenzhen, China, is an internationally award winning artist, juror and workshop leader, whose paintings hang in over 2800 public, private and corporate collections around the world. Schlicting’s paintings are inspired and informed by his frequent travels. He has painted in Asia, South America, and throughout Italy, a favorite source of imagery. He also spent time in Mali, in Western Africa, as a Cultural Speaker for the US Department of State. He will be in attendance at the gallery most days during the months of July and August.
Schlicting makes his home in Portland, Oregon and spends summers at his coastal studio/ gallery, the Hawk Creek Gallery, in Neskowin, Oregon.
