My Positive Perspective Broadcasts Episode on Event that Benefits the Lowcountry Food Bank and is Being Run in Cooperation with Charleston Parks and Recreation
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- On September 23, 2013, My Positive Perspective host Jason Deierlein was joined by Ben Toy as the two spoke about an event that combines physical fitness, local businesses and charities, as well as zombies! When Deierlein asked Toy about what happens during the event, Toy said, “This event is being run in cooperation with Charleston Parks and Recreation and it is a zombie 5K run that takes place in Wannamaker Park in North Charleston.”
Deierlein then asks Toy, “What exactly is a zombie 5K run?” Toy then turns his head and replies, “Runners wear flag football belts and zombies appear throughout the course that tries to take the flags from the runners.” Adding to the zombie theme, Toy adds, “After the race is over, Cinnabare is going to have their outdoor screen and we’re going to play a zombie movie.”
Deierlein then says, “Whenever you have a 5K you are promoting the purpose of health and fitness.” Toy replies, “I’m glad you brought that up because this event is serving the purpose of feeding our citizens. We are asking all participants to bring can goods and make a financial donation to the Lowcountry Food Bank.”
My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident as a youth, a shift of perception forced one to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing one took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is a way of overcoming challenges through positive thinking.
