Heartly House Named 'One of the Best' Nonprofits by the Catalogue for Philanthropy
As it celebrates its 17th Anniversary serving the Greater Washington Region, the Catalogue for Philanthropy has honored Heartly House for its Class of 2019-20 as 'One of the Best' Nonprofits.
WASHINGTON, June 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After a careful vetting process, the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington has selected Heartly House to be part of the Class of 2019-20. Heartly House underwent a rigorous review process conducted by a team of 150+ local experts, and met the Catalogue's high standards.
Celebrating its 17th anniversary, the Catalogue has raised $40 million for nonprofits in the region since its inception. It also offers trainings and neighborhood-based opportunities for collaboration. The network now includes 400+ vetted nonprofits working in the arts, education, environment, and human services sectors throughout Greater Washington.

Heartly House is the only organization in Frederick County, Maryland, that provides comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse. Services include Counseling, Legal Assistance, Hospital Accompaniment, Emergency Shelter, as well as Outreach and Education. Heartly House staff support survivors without judgement or assumptions. Through a "trauma informed" service model, staff provide education, supportive services, referrals to other resources, and empower victims to make the best choices for themselves.
