"My friend, Vegan Fine Foods founder Dr. Steven Smith, has been a vegan for a long time like I have," said Mills, the environmental crusader and humanitarian who launched VBites a decade ago. "Steven's 100% all vegan café and grocery is the perfect choice, because I wanted to start our U.S. retail operations with someone who has the same ethical approach to the plant-based food business."
Mills noted the fortuitous timing of the partnership, which comes just days after a major culinary honor.
"It was great to hear that Vegan Fine Foods just won the Best Veggie Burger in America Award at the Plant Based Burger Battle at the Seed Food and Wine Festival in Miami on November 7th using VBites products!" said Mills.
Vegan Fine Foods opened in March of 2018 and, at the time, was the only 100% vegan market in Florida. Still one of the few such retailers in the U.S., the company has recently been approved to sell franchises.

VBites will be served at the Vegan Fine Café and will be available in the frozen foods section in time for the holidays starting Nov. 22.
