Herman Cook Volkswagen Sponsoring Encinitas Half Marathon and 5K on March 31
Dealership Also Featuring "Lifetime Pass" Contest for Free Race Admission For Life
ENICINITAS, Calif., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Encinitas Half Marathon and 5K, which will take place on Sunday, March 31, 2019, draws passionate runners from all along the California coast and throughout the world, but there are even more reasons to be excited this year.
That's because Herman Cook Volkswagen, a dealership located in Encinitas that sponsors the race, is also featuring a "Lifetime Pass" social media contest this year. The winner of this contest will receive free admission to the Encinitas Half Marathon and 5K for life.
Runners can enter the contest by joining in on the fun at the Encinitas Half Marathon Expo, which will take place from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Encinitas Community Center, located at 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive in Encinitas, California.
While runners are picking up their race packets at the expo, they are encouraged to take a fun photo of themselves with the new Volkswagen models Herman Cook Volkswagen will have at the event. Those runners will then need to post the picture to their Facebook or Instagram while also tagging both the Encinitas Half Marathon and Herman Cook VW. Participants must also use the hashtags #CookVWFindYourFit and #EncinitasHalfLifetimePass.
It should also be noted that only registered participants in the 2019 Encinitas Half Marathon and 5K are eligible for the contest.
The winner of the contest will be announced the morning of the race before the runners set off on their adventure. The lifetime pass the winner receives is nontransferable and valid for the lifetime of the Encinitas Half Marathon and 5K.
