Celebrity Business Analyst Releases Comments on 2013 List of Highest-Paid Celebrities
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 26, 2013 -- CelebrityBusinessAnalyst.com released its comments on a list of the highest-paid celebrities in Hollywood in 2013. The list originally released by Forbes was compiled by agents analyzing cash flow and reports on the actors’ estimated income. On the back of a July 16 USA Today piece that discussed Robert Downey, Jr. and his rise to the top, Celebrity Business Analyst talks about the three actors that top the list and why they are worth their very high salaries.
Topping the list is Robert Downey, Jr. The of-the-moment actor has had a triumphant rise in Hollywood over the last few years after hitting bottom in the 90s, struggling with addiction and multiple arrests. Today, he is the highest-paid actor in the movie industry and can be seen appearing on multiple movies on cable and TV everywhere. The actor made $75 million in the last year thanks to hits like Iron Man and The Avengers. Fans identify Downey, Jr. with the role of Iron Man, which enables him to command a higher income than other actors. Iron Man 3 made $1.2 billion worldwide this year, and Marvel’s The Avengers grossed $1.5 billion.
Channing Tatum takes second place with a $60 million income. The actor has become wildly popular recently, especially among women. His monetary success is due not only to his acting abilities and good looks, but to his apparent sharp eye for business as well. His 2012 film Magic Mike made $167.2 million with only a $7 million production budget, which was funded personally by Tatum and the film’s director Steven Soderbergh. Magic Mike is reportedly becoming a franchise now, with deals on the table for a sequel, a themed bar in New Orleans, and a Broadway show.
Third on the list of highest-paid actors is Hugh Jackman, who made $55 million last year. It’s no surprise that such a versatile actor would be in demand and be listed among the most highly compensated. Jackman’s career is not limited to film, as he has had a successful history on Broadway as well, even winning a Tony for his debut in 2004. The actor is known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, but his most recent triumph was his role as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, which grossed $437.7 million worldwide.
Celebrity Business Analyst stated that it is glad to see these three actors at the top of the highest-paid list. Each of the three has worked their way to the top and deserves the amount they receive for their films.
