Most recently, as director of sales planning and control for one of the world’s biggest electronics makers, Wheeler developed and implemented strategic analysis, planning, and reporting for all facets of national sales operations and finances. He also opened new opportunities for revenue growth, instituted a new online national sales program, and streamlined and improved the sales funnel.
Prior to that, Wheeler was the national manager of client delivery, and a national sales instructor with a multi-billion-dollar information technology services company, where he successfully managed a high-performance team of sales personnel and regularly exceeded both revenue and profit targets. He also developed critical relationships with new clients, negotiated contract renewals, and identified and executed an array of key process/performance improvements to improve efficiency and revenue growth.
Wheeler possesses a BA in political science from York University and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Queen’s University. Wheeler also sits on the board of directors, the executive committee, and the board governance committee of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Durham branch.
