Author Solutions, LLC, a Penguin Random House company and the world leader in supported self-publishing services, announced Wednesday that “Journey Proud,” (ISBN: 978-1552124246)—a novel self-published by Carolyn Fleming through Trafford Publishing—has received the 2014 Eric Hoffer Book Award in the Legacy Fiction category.

The Hoffer Awards recognize “excellence in publishing” among books from academic, independent, small press and self-published authors.

“We were so pleased to learn that Carolyn’s book had received this prestigious honor,” said Keith Ogorek, AS senior vice president of marketing. “The Hoffer awards represent the best of the best, and she should be proud of this accomplishment.”

Earlier this year, “Journey Proud” joined three other Author Solutions titles among 63 books included on the “short list” for consideration for the Hoffer Grand Prize including:

  •     “Belle Vue: Sigmund Freud, Minna Bernays, and the Meaning of Dreams,” by Barry G. Gale, (AuthorHouse – ISBN: 978-1481756808).
