Bookings in the early couple of years of setting up the company were much slower and Mike puts this down to the fact that hog roasts were not really understood by those wanting an outside caterer. “When we first set things up things were much tougher. People were used to the more traditional catering set up. But those who gave us a try have never been disappointed. In fact one of our biggest sources of business is referrals and repeat bookings which in my mind shows people love them. Not only are they something completely different but they also offer amazing value for money. The do-it-yourself option including meat costs less than £4 per head – you can’t even get desert for that from most other caterers.”
