Since 2008 the online boutique, founded by Anisha Ghosh and Sandip Sarwate, has been dedicated to bringing old world quality into new homes worldwide.

“We thought it would be intriguing to capture an intoxicating dollop of Morocco’s allure by interpreting this historically, traditionally and culturally drenched craft form using fabric as a canvas,” said Anisha Ghosh, Saffron Marigold.

Saffron Marigold, the online home goods retailer that designs and manufactures fair trade, globally inspired luxury cotton bedding, table linens and window treatments which are affordably priced, today announced the launch of their newest collection for summer 2015 called “Mosaique Bleue”. It features an intricate Moroccan tile print consisting of cyan blue star burst motifs set in pieces of chocolate tile with accents of French blue, peacock green and apricot. The new Mosaique Bleue print is available in bedspreads, duvet covers, window treatments, shower curtains, table linens and pillow covers. Saffron Marigold’s newest home decor collection is inspired by Moroccan “Zellige” – the ornate terra cotta tile work covered with enamel in the form of chips set into plaster that is one of the main characteristics of Moroccan architecture. It consists of geometrical mosaics made of ceramic used as an ornament for walls, ceilings, fountains, floors, pools and tables in Morocco.

“We thought it would be intriguing to capture an intoxicating dollop of Morocco’s allure by interpreting this historically, traditionally and culturally drenched craft form using fabric as a canvas,” said Anisha Ghosh, Founder and Designer of Saffron Marigold. “Mosaique Bleue is our tribute to the fascinating craft of Moroccan Zellige. Zellige requires exceptional skill, that has been distilled through generations, to create extravagant, geometric, mosaic-studded scapes which stunningly drape palaces, mosques and residences, infusing Moroccan architecture with a sublime exoticness. At Saffron Marigold, we employ hand block printing, another highly skilled age-old craft of textile ornamentation from an entirely different part of the world, India, to bring you the Mosaique Bleue collection,” concluded Ghosh.

All Saffron Marigold products are hand block printed by exceptionally talented artisans, fairly traded and made with 100% super soft cotton. Depending on the size, bedspreads range from $69.99 to $199.99, duvets from $159.99 to $199.99, the shower curtain is $79.99, window treatments from $29.99 to $74.99, table linens and dinner napkins from $39.99 to $89.99, and pillow covers from $29.99 to $39.99.
