HomeValue.us.org Adding Neighborhood and School Information to Their Property Reports
Houston, TX (PRWEB) May 16, 2014 -- HomeValue.us.org is expanding their property reports to include information about the neighborhood and public school systems, the company announced yesterday.
“A buyer can't look at the value of a home as simply the value of the house plus the value of the lot,” he said. “A lot of other factors go into the equation. The quality of life in the neighborhood and the quality of the public school system are a major part of the equation, so we want people to have access to that type of information as well.”
The types of people in the neighborhood have a significant effect on the quality of life someone will have if they buy the home, he said. Meanwhile, the quality of the local school system has an effect on the resale value of the home down the line.
“Even if a buyer doesn't have children, the local school system is important,” he said. “Many people buy homes when they are starting a family. So, if the schools are bad they won't buy in that neighborhood. That means that if someone wants to resell the house in a few years, it will take them much longer and the property will command a lower resale price. People should know that in advance before they buy.”
The additional information should also help people when trying to choose between several homes, he said.
“If the neighborhood is not a right fit, then a buyer can strike that house off the list and move on to one that will better serve their needs,” he said.
