HomeValue.us.org Launches Home Winterizing Guide
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- HomeValue.us.org is about to publish a comprehensive guide to preparing a home for winter so that it will maintain its value, the company said yesterday.
“There are many things people need to do before winter hits if they don't want to get stuck with costly repairs or see their home lose its overall value,” a HomeValue.us.org spokesman said. “Winter presents a unique set of challenges for homeowners, and we want to help them address that.”
The guide will be published on the site's members' area, through their social media channels, and on their blog, HomeValueBlog.us.org, he said.
“It doesn't really take that much time or cost that much money to get a home ready for winter,” the HomeValue.us.org spokesman said. “But many people don't know the basics. So we figured that it would be a good idea for us to provide people with the information they need.”
HomeValue.us.org thinks this is the time for the guide, as there are more new homeowners now than in recent years.
“As the effects of the housing bubble begin to disappear, we are going to see a lot more first-time homeowners,” he said. “This is our way of doing something to help these new homeowners make sure that their home is the best investment they have ever made.”
In the spring, HomeValue.us.org plans to publish a companion guide on how to get a home ready for the warmer months, he said.
“Our long-term goal is to provide all homeowners with as much valuable information as possible,” he said.
