Alamo Travel Group CEO Named Chair of San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- Alamo Travel Group proudly congratulates President and CEO Patricia Stout as she assumes her leadership role as the 2014 Chair of the Board of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Stout took her oath of office together with her fellow Hispanic Chamber Board members at the organization's 85th Anniversary Gala on Jan. 25 at the J.W. Marriott Hill Country Resort.
In her inaugural address to the more than 1,700 people in attendance, Stout said that she was dedicated to making 2014 the year of the Chamber member, “the year of the socio,” as she put it, using both English and Spanish.
Stout put the delivery of training, networking and other services to Chamber members at the top of her list of goals for the organization, long recognized as the leading Hispanic chamber of commerce in the U.S. She also said she was dedicated to making opportunities for economic development as accessible as possible throughout the Hispanic business community for the good of San Antonio as a whole.
Stout follows in the footsteps of outgoing Hispanic Chamber Board Chair Alex Briseño, who welcomed Stout into her leadership role in his own outgoing remarks.
To her associates at Alamo Travel, Stout is a living example of successful economic development during three decades of hard work dedicated to customer satisfaction. Early on in her career, she received recognition for that dedication when the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named her Entrepreneur of the Year in 1992. Later, Hispanic Magazine honored her with the Latina Excellence Award in 2001. Most notably, the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce named her Business Woman of the Year in 2012.
Having served in many capacities in the Hispanic Chamber's committees over the years and having proved her dedication to community service through her membership in the Rotary Club, Stout is well prepared to assume this leadership role at this time of surging economic growth in San Antonio.
