Honolulu Treatment Center Launches New Consultation Program on Updated Website at Drug Addiction Treatment Centers
Honolulu, HI (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- A Honolulu treatment center is announcing that an updated, new consultation program is available through Drug Addiction Treatment Centers.
A 2012 national report indicates among adults aged 50 to 64, the rate of current illicit drug use has increased during the past decade. For adults aged 50 to 54, the rate increased from 3.4 percent in 2002 to 7.2 percent in 2012 (Figure 2.10). Among those aged 55 to 59, the rate of current illicit drug use increased from 1.9 percent in 2002 to 6.6 percent in 2012. Among those aged 60 to 64, the rate increased from 1.1 percent in 2003 to 3.6 percent in 2012.
This new program expands upon the basics of drug and alcohol addiction treatment, giving people in Honolulu hope for ending chemical dependency problems.
Cocaine, heroin, Oxycontin and benzodiazepines are just a few of the drugs that the treatment center helps people put in their past. Alcoholism, a disease that destroys individuals as well as families, is addressed through the substance abuse treatment center’s programs.
The program offers a collective style of treatment options for clients. Ultimately, its bottom line is to help all clients leave the addiction treatment center with a structure in place for life outside of it. People come into these types of centers looking either for a new life or relief from their pain, and counselors and therapists on staff are ready to help.
In Honolulu, drug and alcohol addiction is part of the city’s fabric. Entering the rehab center gives clients a new chance to be responsible members of society once again. They come to find themselves, discover new levels of self-esteem, and a spirituality that works.
An initial step is detoxification from all mind-altering substances. This is overseen by a well-trained medical staff, making sure clients are supported, guided and nurtured through these initial hours and days free from their drug of choice.
This is followed by counseling and therapeutic help and support. Learning to navigate through everyday life without drugs and alcohol is akin to giving someone traveling through different states and/or nations a map and directions.
