Ryan Newman, NASCAR driver, Car #39, will be the Grand Marshall at the Ryan Newman Drive For Hope 150©, a stock car race to be held in Jacksonville, NC and open to all active duty service members and military families. The Ryan Newman Drive For Hope 150 will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Coastal Plains Raceway. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and the race will begin at 6:15 p.m. The event is made possible by support from Oral-B, sponsor of both Newman and Hope For The Warriors® Above & Beyond Program. The Ryan Newman Drive For Hope 150 provides a unique opportunity for local military families to enjoy a night at the track and meet one of today’s top NASCAR drivers. There will be opportunities to meet Newman both before the race and after at a special BBQ for military families. Newman has earned a coveted spot in the competition for this year’s Chase for the Sprint Cup.
"Hope For The Warriors® is ecstatic to bring this opportunity to North Carolina military families," Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors® president said. "Ryan and Oral-B provide an example to our country of how to support veterans through both corporate support and job creation."
Anyone with a valid military ID will enter at no charge. Otherwise, entry is $15/person. The Ryan Newman Drive For Hope 150 will take place at the Coastal Plains Raceway (http://www.coastalplainsraceway.com), located at 4744 Richlands Hwy, Jacksonville, NC.
