Jockey Club Prepares for Breeders’ Cup

The Breeders’ Cup features two days of great races.

With the Breeders’ Cup right around the corner, the Jockey Club is getting ready for the two days of great races, featuring the best horses thoroughbred racing has to offer.

On Friday, Oct. 31, there will be four big races, including the Juvenile Turf, the Dirt Mile and the Juvenile Fillies Turf, all with purses of $1 million. These will be followed by the Distaff, a 1 & 1/8-mile race, featuring the best female dirt horses running for the winner’s share of the $2 million purse.

There will be nine great races on Saturday, Nov. 1, including the Juvenile Fillies, Filly and Mare Turf, DraftKings Filly and Mare Sprint, Turf Sprint, Sentient Jet Juvenile, Turf, Xpress Sprint, Mile, and capped off with the $5 million Classic. The Classic is the richest horse race in North America and draws the world’s best thoroughbreds year after year.

The Jockey Club in San Mateo is the best place on the San Francisco Peninsula to watch and wager on, not only the Breeders’ Cup, but also all the horse racing action available to California players. The featured California tracks are Santa Anita and Golden Gate Fields, with Quarter Horse and Harness racing available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Conveniently located at the San Mateo County Event Center, 2495 S. Delaware St., in San Mateo, California, the Jockey Club is easy to reach from the north, south, east or west, near the intersection of freeways 101 and 92.
