Pathways Hospice Celebration of Light Memorial Service Provides Comfort for Grief and Loss
San Mateo, California (PRWEB) November 14, 2013 -- The annual Pathways Hospice Celebration of Light Memorial Service is scheduled for Sunday, December 8, 2013, 2-3:30 pm at Skylawn Memorial Park, off of Highway 92 at Skyline Boulevard, San Mateo, California. Community members will find a reflective and quiet environment where they can honor the memory of their loved ones at a non-denominational, candle-lit memorial service. This memorial service is free of charge and open to the general public.
Participants light a candle of remembrance, join others who understand, and listen to inspirational and comforting readings. There will be a memory table where attendees can place a picture or memory object in honor of their loved one. The Pathways Hospice Celebration of Light Memorial Service was created to provide a place of light and hope for those who are mourning.
“I attended the Pathways Hospice Celebration of Light Memorial Service just a few months after my wife died,” said Tom Hodges, past Celebration of Light participant. “Attending this comforting service reminded me that I was not alone in my grief. It was an important step in my healing journey.”
Pathways bereavement services are made possible through generous donations from the community to Pathways Home Health & Hospice. Services are available to anyone in the community and include: information and referrals, loss support groups, remembrance events, grief workshops, individual counseling, educational material, and community presentations.
