Katie...shouldn’t have to worry about how to pay escalating medical bills at a time when all of her, and her family’s, thoughts should be focused on getting well and having a healthy future.

Stephanie Hebert Insurance Agency, a full-service firm serving families of the Bayou Region from offices in Houma, LA, continues a commitment to act as Agents of Change in the community by announcing their latest charity drive. Katie Savoie is a young local wife, mother and teacher who is battling both breast and liver cancers. Donations from the compassionate community are now being accepted at: http://www.stephaniehebert.com/Join-Team-Katie-To-Fight-Cancer_26_community_cause.

Katie Savoie, just 31 years old, found a lump in her breast on April 6, 2016, which was diagnosed as Stage 2 triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. Six weeks later she was also diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer. Several surgeries later, it is believed Katie will have a long road to recovery since typical therapies used to treat many breast cancers will not be effective in her case. Additionally, her cancers are rapid growing and have a high percentage of spreading to other parts of her body.

“Katie is a real fighter,” said Stephanie Hebert, owner of Stephanie Hebert Insurance Agency. “But she shouldn’t have to worry about how to pay escalating medical bills at a time when all of her, and her family’s, thoughts should be focused on getting well and having a healthy future. We’re very happy to do all we can, and hope many others in the community will pitch in to help, as well.”

Stephanie Hebert Insurance is busy promoting the initiative through a variety of channels, including social media and an email awareness campaign. Meanwhile, their caring team has pledged to contribute $10 to Katie’s family for each and every person recommended to them for an insurance quotation, with no purchase necessary, making it so easy for everyone in the community to help without impacting their own pocketbooks. Additionally, a full page of the agency’s monthly magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in the Bayou Region and helps readers to ‘live well and thrive’, has been dedicated to featuring the cause. The electronic version of Our Hometown magazine may be viewed at: http://www.stephaniehebert.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_43.

Stephanie Hebert Insurance will continue to support local causes, selecting a new group, family or individual every two to three months to receive support.
