Koehler states “I really appreciate good design. My background as an art director, graphic artist and photo journalist has trained my eye well. I’ve also always dreamed of owning a home at the beach so I gravitate to coastal décor and I don’t think you have to live on the ocean to create that laid back, easy going feeling of beach living.” Koehler created her online boutique to cater to those looking for upscale coastal décor and not the kitch that is often found in abundance. Ms. Koehler is quite selective when choosing vendors and items for her online boutique. Koehler says “I’m determined every vendor must meet my standards of durable, high quality pieces that represent good design. I’m not into fads and want the pieces I select to be timeless in their appeal. Good design can be modern or traditional but timeless means you don’t ever tire of it.”
