Belvin Insurance Agency Introduces New Charity Campaign Partnering with the Houston Food Bank to Help Fight Hunger
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 22, 2016 -- Belvin Insurance Agency, a full service firm serving the Houston, TX metro area, unveils the latest beneficiary of their ongoing community enrichment program. The current campaign fundraises for the Houston Food Bank on behalf of thousands of local people dealing with the daily challenges of finding enough food to eat for themselves and their children. Donations are now being accepted at: https://www.crowdrise.com/helpingtoleadthefigh/fundraiser/jillbelvin.
The Houston Food Bank is a nonprofit organization which collects, sorts, packs and redistributes food to local hunger relief charities, in collaboration with grocers, wholesalers and a network of compassionate and dedicated volunteers. At a time when families are so often forced to make tough choices between paying rent, keeping utilities paid or putting food on the table, the number of hungry people in the region is escalating. More than one in every four southeast Texas children currently live with daily food insecurity, as their parents struggle with conflicting priorities. The Houston Food Bank provides help and hope to some 80,000 who would otherwise go hungry.
“This is a perfect example of why we created our Community Program,” said Jill Belvin, owner of Belvin Insurance Agency. “The Houston Food Bank helps so many of our neighbors who are battling hunger. And although the challenge is enormous in our area, it’s so easy to help! When every single dollar the Food Bank receives provides 3 meals for one person, folks don’t have to impact their own budgets to make a real difference in the lives of others.”
Belvin Insurance Agency just recently launched their master charity program, of which the current campaign is part, pledging to select a new local organization, family or individual every two to three months to receive their support. The Belvin team is hard at work promoting the campaign for the Houston Food Bank through social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through their monthly magazine. Our Hometown magazine is delivered to thousands of households in Houston and surrounding communities. Reserving a full page to feature the initiative and all the pertinent details, the electronic Flipbook version of the current issue may be accessed here: http://belvininsuranceagency.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_46.
