Cigar Advisor Publishes Instructional Piece on Creative Cigar Cutting
Easton, PA (PRWEB) September 14, 2013 -- The all-new Cigar Advisor Magazine is an online cigar magazine that brings a fresh, irreverent, and down-to-earth perspective on all things cigars to thousands of smokers. In addition to educational cigar content and behind-the-scenes cigar industry articles from some of the business’s top names, Cigar Advisor delivers an array of content about a variety of topics of interest to people who enjoy the cigar lifestyle. The magazine also features cigar reviews and ratings submitted by real smokers. Cigar Advisor has just published a new article to their informational Cigars 101 series, titled “How to Cut a Cigar in a Pinch.”
Cigar Advisor Executive Editor Gary Korb recently found himself ready to light-up one of his favorite cigars and realized…he had dropped his cutter. “Rather than panic, I said, ‘what would Bear Grylls do?’ And that inspired me to write this article." It’s unfortunate, Gary says, but it happens: “You're away from home, you brought some of your favorite cigars to enjoy, but you forgot your cutter and you're nowhere near a cigar store. If you didn't have a lighter or matches, at least you could make a fire, but being able to cut a cigar in the 'traditional' way is out of the question. No problem. There are several ways to clip your cigar when you're stranded without a cutter. You just have to be a little resourceful.”
Gary says all a person in this situation needs to do is to find something that's sharp or pointy enough to either cut or pierce the cigar's cap respectfully. “Of course, this depends on where you are, too,” writes Korb. “If you're in the woods, try a twig or a long thorn. At the beach? A sliver of clam shell ought to do it. If you can't find anything to use as a cutter, there's always your teeth.”
